MayfairNew life! I planted this banana plant last year and it grew tall and beautiful, nourished with all the bush tea and leftover coconut milk I threw out of the kitchen window! But then it got infected with Black Sigatoka and we had to cut off leaf after leaf. For every fresh new leaf that emerged, one was dying so that it was never ready to deliver a bunch. We started to think that it may never be productive when suddenly it burst forth with its flower and baby bananas ready to grow! Celebration! 👏🏽 The urge for nature to bring forth life is strong. Nature is resilient and gives me hope. 🙏🏾
